Over 90 representatives from family businesses across Northern Ireland gathered in W5 Belfast on the eve of National Family Business Day, to celebrate Family Business As A Force For Good.
Guests heard stories from some of the UK's leading family businesses including Timpson Group on how they recruit ex offenders into their business as the largest family business retailer in the country.
A number of NI family businesses were also involved, including Seating Matters, Lynas Food Service, Fish City, Smiley Monroe, Henry Brothers as well as Mairi Mickel who joined us from Edinburgh to discuss her family's charitable foundation.
HM Senior Partner, Darren McDowell presented around the theme of financial management, and how for family businesses, a quarter is 25 years.
As ever, we partnered with Ulster University and found out more about the new Centre for Sustainable Family Enterprise running from their Belfast Campus under the management of Dr Ian Smyth.
