Harbinson Mulholland (HM) Partner Darren McDowell was invited to speak about the next generation of family businesses on Radio Ulster's Inside Business programme on Sunday (13th May).
Along with Gareth Macklin, The Macklin Group, Simon Hunter from Hunter Apparel and Jack Hamilton of Mash Direct the show delved into the key issues that emerge for children entering and often taking the reins of the family business. Drawing on his own experience and indeed the expertise within HM of advising family firms, Darren was able to highlight how our advisory role often has to navigate the family relationships first before overlaying the right technical business solution. It’s something our team do well and with our NI Family Business Forum we continue to deepen our knowledge of this vital sector.
